As one of our valued colleagues is retiring, we are looking for a dedicated payroll specialist who wants to become an important part of our HR team. The role is based in Filipstad and is part of an HR team that works both locally and together with colleagues in Stockholm and Norway. You will report to the HR Senior Manager Northern Europe, stationed in Stockholm.

About the role

As a payroll specialist with us, you will play a central role in ensuring accurate and quality-assured payroll management for our shift-working collective employees. The work is characterized by close collaboration with the business and requires a good understanding of both central and local collective agreements.

You will be responsible for the entire payroll process – from hiring and registration in the system to payroll processing and payment. Our monthly salaries are managed in Agda. The role also includes manual handling of, among other things, sick pay, sick leave, and vacation calculations. It also involves managing pensions and being the payroll specialist during internal and external audits.

You will serve as a natural support and sounding board for our shift managers in the factory and have ongoing contact with external parties such as the Social Insurance Agency, AFA, and during external audits. In addition, you will also function as a support function to the HR department and collaborate on payroll issues, terminate employments, and prepare documentation and data.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure that personal data is correctly updated for all affected employees
  • Be responsible for the complete payroll processing in Sweden according to applicable guidelines
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, compensations, and deductions
  • Provide support and advice to employees on issues related to salary, parental leave, illness, leave, and termination
  • Be responsible for pension management and related issues for retired employees, including earning processes
  • Be the first point of contact during audits and with authorities, and handle actuarial reports together with external consultants and auditors

About you

We are looking for someone who is structured, responsible, and flexible, and who thrives in a role where you can take significant personal responsibility. You have at least 3 years of experience in payroll preparation for shift-working collective employees, preferably from industrial, production, or transport operations.

You are familiar with contract interpretation, including adaptation to local agreements, and have experience working in larger payroll systems. Since contract interpretation is a central part of the role, you need to be fluent in Swedish and have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
